About the event
Learn encaustic (hot wax) AND cold wax painting! Cold wax is exciting because it can be combined with acrylic, can be used on canvas, and it does not need electrical equipment. I demonstrate basic techniques followed by hands-on studio time. Come try both mediums, play, and discover! I will demonstrate fusing, layering, image transfers, stencils, texture, inscribing, and collage. Students experiment with oil sticks, pastels, and stencils.
Perfect for anyone curious about encaustic and/or cold wax. Excellent refresher for experienced artists or those wishing to expand their current practice.
All encaustic materials included-- small fee if you wish to try cold wax.
Limited to 12 students. Minimum 8
